100 Days to Healthier Me

In the vein of ‘support your supporting characters,’ I decided a few days ago to follow Charmaine Houck’s 100 Day Healthier Me in 2017 challenge. She started this 64 days ago, and even as she started I brought up to her that every day can be a day one. She started during a very different time in my life, and wanted it to complete by New Years. I am starting today and completing it just over a week before I leave for New Orleans.

Today is another Day One for me. As you can see from the image above, I am supposed to look into the future once again and write down exactly where I want to be 100 days from now.

It will be the beginning of March, so I hope to see myself in shorts again. I oddly wore shorts today, the day before Thanksgiving. I love wearing shorts. If it weren’t so damn cold, I would wear shorts always. Maybe that should be a goal. All jokes aside, I know I can be in a better place in 100 days.

I will have my credit cards completely paid off. That is a financial goal that will take a lot of effort and a lot of patience on my part. I need to make sure I focus each day with putting my tips in my bank account and paying things off as I go along. At the moment, I have December’s rent paid. Ahead of the game. I have my cell phone bill paid for in December. Ahead of the game. I spent a lot on groceries which set me back a bit, but it sounds like my vacation pay will be here this week or next week putting me right as rain.

I will still be going to the gym. The dream would be going to the gym all but fourteen days of these 100, but that sounds nearly impossible. I will go to the gym 80 out of 100 days. That gives me 6 weeks where I miss the gym an extra day.

I will have posted over two-hundred blog posts. This will happen. I have been posting two blog posts a day, even though some of them have been kind of funky or short. I can keep this up for one-hundred days, especially with support.

I will cook dinner once a week. I did it this week already! I actually cooked for the first time at home in almost three months yesterday. I made tacos. It wasn’t exactly a four-course meal, but it’s a start and that’s half the battle.

I will be more organized with event planning at the bar. This is something that I can definitely see. The more I do it, the more I will be ready to do it again. In the months to come, I will definitely be better at this.

I just went back and changed the “I wants” above to “I will”. I am not giving the universe, or myself, a chance to back down. This is the superhero I have inside. He’s going to be living it up over the next 100 days, and you’ll see how here.
