100 Days Healthier Me – Day Twenty-Four

A new day. After yesterday, I need to find myself back on track for my fitness goals. Nothing about yesterday actually looked healthy, instead, it looked like I was about to put on another one-hundred pounds and eventually sink into the negative aspects of a nerd body. Today, I make it a point to change, or at least prepare myself for change.

The big test for today is actually making it outside to walk no matter how cold it is. I also have to get the majority of my stuff done before 3 today. Normally, this is not a big problem. Today, I have tacked on watching Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Tonight, I watch Star Wars – The Last Jedi.

So, what do I have to do before that? I have to get outside and walk. That is my trial for today. I have my headphones plugged in and my phone charging. My laundry is in downstairs, and after the first load is done washing and drying, I will take a shower and get my day started. I just have to do it.

There’s also the part of me that needs to ick up and clean my room. I also need to clean up myself a little bit. I have let my hair grow out since the accident and need to shave it. My beard is getting downright ridiculous, or it’s one step away from that. I have books strewn across my bed that needs to be picked up and put away. I need to get myself settled.

That’s kind of what December seems to be about for me overall. It’s getting a settled feeling as I continue to transition from Pizza Manager to Bartending Writer. It’s an interesting period for me, and I can’t help but see what I transition towards. It’s all about putting the nervous energy of change into the right direction.

Realistically, I am not sure exactly what that fully entails. I know that doing 100 Days Healthier Me is the start of that. One blog post a day on top of that is another. I need to keep my bedroom a bit more tidy with everything put away to the proper place. I also need to start working on some of the writing books I have in my room to grow a bit as a writer, and more specifically, I need to use the books to grow as an editor.

The paramount thing today is getting out and doing the walking. My laundry rolls around. My books will be stacked and put away. I will try to get all my amazon boxes picked up so that my room is at least inhabitable and doesn’t look like an amazon explosion. Little things set you on the right path to get you moving. Cleaning house helps. Getting out and doing things help. Today’s my lucky day, if I do all these things, I get to go to Star Wars! That’ll be well worth the work.
