100 Days Healthier Me – Day Seventy

Yesterday, I spent all day talking about just calling and connecting with the people around me. I met up with a few friends and hung out. I called and left a voicemail for my best friend. She then proceeded to call me and chat. And I talked to my other best friend throughout the day via text. I even called my dad and talked to him. My brother called me. It was like a love fest of family and friends which is a great feeling to have.

Today, I’m supposed to look at other friends and send a note according to the prompt today. That’s a little bit harder. Who do I write the note to?

I have a variety of friends that I speak to semi-regularly. My roommate, for instance, I see him almost daily and talk to him just as often. The only time I don’t talk to him is when I leave before he wakes up and am working. Even then, I tend to send a few messages back and forth via messengers which I where we’ve always talked to one another. I am spending most of the day with him in communication or in person and made sure to give him a hug and tell him I love him before I left today.

I know. I’ll turn people into an idea:

Dear Inspirations,

There are so many of you out there in the world. All of you are different and drive me in different directions that I somehow find a way to make work.

Some of you inspire me towards my spirituality. You bring me closer to understanding the spiritual side of the world. You help me see connections and other ideas that spark creation of thought. It’s a brilliant feeling for me to be able to understand more about the world side-by-side with the physical reality.

Some of you inspire me towards creativity. You are the muse resting on my shoulder or the editors rereading what I’ve wrote for a forth time. You’re the ones who keep my passion alive in the world.

Some of you inspire me for health. This isn’t always a positive thing. It means that I look at myself as unattractive in comparison or want to strike for the perfection of beauty, but there are others out there who teach me how to be health and inspire me to think positively.

Some of you inspire me to smile. That’s one of my favorite things in the world. Sometimes it’s not even a person, and I see New York. The entity of New York makes me smile for how far I have come from that little South Dakota boy. Others just inspire me to smile with an awesome joke or a funny ace. Or just smile because it’s a symbol of love no one talks about.

Some inspire me to love. There are people in my life that I can’t help but love, and when they look sad or nervous or anxiety, I just want to cuddle them close and send back that love to them so that they can know how loving they are and how great they are in the world.

Thank you, all of you, truly, deeply, and forever,

-Would Be Wanderer
