100 Days Healthier Me – Day Seventy-Two

I spend the majority of my time pampering myself in one form or another. Coffee in the morning at Starbucks is the start. Add a blueberry muffin to that, it tastes so damn good. And my entire day is off to a day of pampering. I think it’s a misnomer to think that you can’t pamper yourself on a daily basis, but it’s also about making sure you’re pampering yourself right and helping yourself move forward by doing it.

It’s really easy to think about doing nothing. You can just lay in your bed with his legs spread and arms out. Your head can feel so comfortable on that pillow. The blanket thrown over your body to give you warmth. Resting can be a great thing to do, but then you’re also not doing the billion other things you could be doing. Rest is important, but overdoing it will just leave you more tired and sluggish throughout your day. To truly pamper yourself, it’s to do something you love.

In my case, I write. I love writing. Writing is my entire life. I started today by thinking through several ideas and opting to do none of them. Until, of course, an idea struck me that I needed to write. I will get right to it as soon as I’m done with this.

Pampering can be good, especially if you need that extra boost of confidence. I picture some people shaving or trimming their beard. Some women might get their nails done. Maybe for some people it’s just a little bit longer shower. No matter what you do, it can put you in a good mood, and that’s a great place to be for the rest of the day.

I am going to take today fairly easily to ‘pamper’. I have my coffee and muffin as stated above. I am getting my writing done. I went to the gym. I plan to get food over at Gypsy Grill, falafel sandwich and rice, and then go to work. After work, I will talk to my roommate and game online while just watching some Doctor Who. It’s an easy day, which is really all the pampering that I need. It’s an easy AND productive day which works out really well for me.

Tomorrow will act as almost a second pampering day. I have no real plans after gym, writing, and coffee. My prompt is going to get done early in the day, although I’m going to spend all afternoon with a good friend of mine in the Bronx. I plan on just hanging out and maybe going dancing which is a very different kind of excitement in my life. We may just stay out for a drink and then head back. No matter what we do, it’ll be another great day together all for ease.
