I mentioned a few days ago that I was showing my appreciation of my friends yesterday. I went to the Bronx to hang out with her! I originally wrote this by hand yesterday, although you’re obviously seeing it typed out. But think, I originally wrote this (and my earlier blog post) by hand. I think spending quality time is a great way to show any type of appreciation and that’s my plan.
Besides that however, I spent time with a few of my friends and have seemed to spend the last few days constantly laughing. That’s how you know you’re with the right kind of people. I had such a good time! I have continually been posting my love to all my friends. It wasn’t meant as a catch-all, but so many of my friends have use been awesome recently and it really made me just need to spread the love. It’s brilliant to feel this blessed.
I headed to the Bronx yesterday, which I had never been to. The last time I remember going there was with a guy and being completely lost on how to get home. My fiend works up there and invited me to happy hour. At first, I was super reluctant. It’s a long trip. She talked about only having a couple of drinks and then returning home.
But… It’s something different.
I spent the day basically just hanging out. We started out with happy hour where I met a variety of my friends co-workers. Then, we went to this club and spent the next few hours dancing. What was great about the club was getting hit on within 10 minutes of being there. I got super nervous. I had a few beers to drink but had so much water that I didn’t even feel anything. (And did not have the courage to actually step up and game). The owner of the establishment caught me when she came in to promote something and I set her up with the teachers for a future event. I ended up meeting a few people and promoted an event in jersey City. And it only got better when I got to Jersey City and hung out with other friends.
I didn’t want to be someone who gets caught up in the same monotony of life. It’s the easy thing to just live in your small bubble. I want to experience the world. I want to meet new people and share the love with the world. You can’t do that never experiencing new things. Thank the goddess for Shannon helping me break out of that circle
It astounds me how much my life as changed since I started this blog. It astounds me how much I have changed and still am changing. And honestly, much of it is because of the people I surround myself with. They’ve created this awesome circle of positivity and helped keep me in there.
I guess to summarize all this is simple….
I love you guys! Keep being awesome.
