100 Days Healthier Me – Day Eighty-Three

The dance of life if something I would not give up for anything. It took me a long time to go out on a dance floor and not care. It took meeting someone who dance with the same kind of intensity that I needed to show me that way. It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to go out and do it, but nonetheless I am still dancing to the beat of my own tune. It’s funny sometimes where the dance will lead you.

I am working today once again at the pizzeria. I did not end anything on bad terms, which meant that something like this was always possible, bu I don’t think anyone expected it to be less than six months later. It’s just an eight hour shift, and then I’ll head home. I’ll have more money in my pocket than I did before, and will have the rest of the night to equalize my sleeping. I find it interesting, mostly because it allows me to have a bit of fun, see some old customers, and actually show the populous that I didn’t leave on new terms. It gives the place a good face and gives me something to do today. It’s a groove I’m okay to dance again. Also, pizza.

The dance continues after work. I have been meaning to read some Legion of Superhero comics. I want to start with the Great Darkness Saga. It is literally one of the best superhero stories I’ve ever read by Paul Levitz. I just want to reread some great stories and take some notes and ideas for stories of my own. There were some really great things that went down in the 80s comic books that I don’t feel like have ever been captured in the same kind of way. The X-Men, the Teen Titans, Infinity Inc., and the Legion of Superheroes stand out as some of my favorite titles and have tons of characters that each get their own time. Each issue told a great story, but the overall epics were fantastic. That’s what I want to accomplish.

Of course, I need to take a breather right afterwards. I didn’t sleep well last night. I’m not used to going to bed at midnight. 2-3am have been my norms, which means I had trouble getting to sleep. I slept fitfully, and now, am living on caffeine. So, after work, I will take a nap. Then I will get started on the comics.

I don’t dance the same type of dance as anyone else. I have my own hours. I have my own things I do. At the end of the day, I have no idea what part of the dance floor I’m going to end up, but I am just going to get on dancing, moving, and grooving, until the next song comes on. Hell, I’ll probably dance with no music. It’s the kind of life I’m living. I hope you can find the music to get your own groove going. Whatever steps come to you, get started moving.
