100 Days Healthier Me – Day Eighty-Six

I am not talking about water again for 500 words. You have heard me ramble about that at least twice already. Today, I am going to talk about a very different kind of thirst. I want to talk about the thirst for life and my thirst for success.

See what I did there?

I keep my optimism even in the worst of times because of how much I love life. The experiences that we go through shape us. The friends we meet push us in different directions. Above all, the choices We make about both this things define us. This idea amazes me. It makes everything so incredibly exciting. Why would you not want to know more people? Why would you stop yourself from drinking in every experience you can?

Now, all my life experiences and everything I’m doing is leading me to tell stories. I shouldn’t say leading me, I have always told stories, but what is happening is that I am finding amazing new avenues to tell these stories and creating a broad new overarching story. This idea excites me and entices me like a man in a desert. My problem, of course, is being patient and waiting to complete one journey before starting another.

This patience beside fear of failure, are my two biggest hurdles. I can do this and move beyond them. Soon, I’ll be soaking and honestly, I’ll be wanting to tell more stories. I’ll be thirsting for more new experiences and be finding ways to involve my friends and family so that we can all drink on the successes of my stories.

None of this is easy. It’s not just drinking a liter of water. It’s not drinking gallons of water. It’s incorporating these things into my life everyday and putting myself one step closer. It’s finishing a little more on my story today. It’s going to the gym to clear my head. It’s reading a different book to showcase different writing styles and give me new ideas. It’s drinking in the world and making it work for you. It’s quenching that thirst every day in new and different ways.
